What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Strategies. It’s a research-based approach that focuses on encouraging good behavior rather than just focusing on negative behavior. PBIS helps create a positive school environment and better learning for all students.

At Summit, we focus on being safe, organized, accountable, and respectful. With PBIS, we use these values to build a positive school environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Falcons SOAR in all areas

At Summit, we teach and model our S.O.A.R. expectations— being Safe, Organized, Accountable, and Respectful. Students are recognized for positive behavior with Falcon Feathers, which can be used for rewards like school store items, special activities, or raffles. Clear signs and regular reminders help students know what’s expected in every area of the school.
