Common Sense Media, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology, has recognized Summit Middle School as a Common Sense School.

Summit Middle School’s Tech Time Teachers, Ms. Bloom and Mrs. Jenkins, have been using Common Sense Education’s innovative and research-based digital citizenship resources to teach tangible skills related to internet safety, protecting online reputations and personal privacy, media balance, managing online relationships, and media literacy.

According to our Tech Time teachers, “Becoming a Common Sense School has had a major impact on the life of our students. We believe technology education and digital citizenship education go hand-in-hand. Our school is one-to-one with devices and many students are immersed in technology both in and out of school. We have observed our students making a conscious effort to be considerate of their digital footprint in all classrooms. We are proud to be a Common Sense School!”
